Gibbs Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a special bottling of fruit that is hand-picked from the Centa Vineyard Reserve Block and Cross Creek Vineyard Home Block, showcasing the depth, complexity and intrigue the Gibbs Estate has to offer. Old, low-vigor vines brought to the finest French oak for extended aging brings generous aromatics and density of flavor that only patience and time can produce.
Tasting Notes: Big, bold, yet polished and poised. Displaying beautiful purity of fruit; this wine is made from the oldest vines on our Estate Vineyards, some of which are closing in on 40 years. The nose is lively with clove, sweet baking spice, dark currant, asphalt, and sage that compliment a body full of succulent black cherry, dark fruits, glossy fine tannins and lingering notes of dried herbs, cocoa and mocha.
Aging: 32 months | 100% new French oak | Baron Transport & Sylvain Grand Reserve barrels
Food Pairing: Enjoy with Steak Diane, Grilled Hangar Steak with Chimichurri, Duck Confit with Roasted Figs and Polenta or Mushroom Ravioli with Arrabiata Sauce.
